The Galaxy A51

Now that the phone middle range market becoming evermore crowded than ever before, we decided now is a good idea to review a phone that will likely sell in large numbers around the globe, the Samsung Galaxy A51. It has a conservative but attractive design, the A51 comes with quadruple rear cameras, an amoled screen and a middle set selfie cam, as well as a glasstastick rear back panel.
The Galaxy A51 has been selling in Europe since February 2020 while handset launched in the United States through April 2020 and also retails at around $399.99/£329.

Speed And Performance

The brilliant screen is as great as we expect from this company}, the colours are very much vibrant and bright and the phone's viewing planes are actually a delight. There is not a lot to quibble about apart from the device is a bit dull (but still readable) in direct sunlight and not good for viewing content on, even with the contrast fully up.
This' where testing top of the line devices such as OPPO’s Find X2 Pro as well as the OnePlus range is not helpful in getting some balanced perspective of a mid-range handset such as this midrange one.
The processor won't compete with the top of the range chip and moving from flagship Exynos to the Snapdragon chips is a wakeup call then you understand that this phone is just a mid-range phone and that allowances should be made.
You realize that, this phone can be slow at times and we were uncertain whether the A51 had indeed registered the press when attempting to open an app or to to share something.
And this is really a level of lag that I haven’t seen for a lot of time, even with base model handsets which costs only £140.
And as for the A51's fingerprint sensor, suffice to say that Samsung should have placed it in the rear panel because I only achieved a success about 50% when trying to unlock the handset then ending up typing the pin code.

Styling And Design

With the plasticky rear panel, the Galaxy A51 does not look or feel like a mid-range phone, the plastic feels forgiving in your hand because there aren't any sharp edges you can sometimes see with phones with rear panels made out of toughened glass.
The design characteristic with the back panel is good and this adds some class to the A51. Often the branding on budget phones is a smidgen overdone sometimes, Samsung's logo is modestly placed.
You see a selfie camera setup which, for some reason, is becomes more noteworthy by what looks like a metal ring that attracts your eyes.
Audiophiles are sure to rejoice that there is an sound jack located on the handset's lower edge, with the USB Type-C port and a speaker.
The top of the handset houses a microphone while the right hand edge there is a power switch and loudness rocker and the SIM card tray place on the left side of the handset.
Overall it is neat and classy looking device that slips into a normal-sized pocket with ease.
